I launch Foobar and transcode to a lower bitrate or just copy from my music library to the Zen Stone drive. I really don't know what the software does. I think it does transcoding and cd ripping. I use EAC for cd ripping and Foobar 2000 works really easy for transcoding in combination with the lame codec.

I have a Zen Vision:M, and recommended a colleague buy one. I used it everyday walking to/from work. On some occasions, it crashed, though. This would then rebuild its index for ages, sapping battery.

I found the software to be a bit clunky, to be honest. So when my parents asked about what model they should buy, I nearly bit the bullet and said "iPod". I didn't, though. Got them a Zen, but a smaller, 8Gb model. Is really neat, but same problem with software. It took me 2 hours to figure out how NOT to auto-sync his entire PC to his little device.

Where are you MS Zune?

I advise you to set the quota by adjusting the binding settings in the configuration file instead of doing it in code.

Like this:

<configuration>

  <system.serviceModel>

   <bindings>

      <basicHttpBinding>

        <binding name="Binding1">

          <readerQuotas maxBytesPerRead ="1000"

                        maxDepth="100"/>

          <security mode="None" />

        </binding>

      </basicHttpBinding>

    </bindings>

  </system.serviceModel>

</configuration>

Last year I also had this problem, I than adjusted it in the configuration file which was the only thing that I had to deploy, instead of completely doing a rebuild and deploy of my code.

gr,
