Oh dear.

I didn't like it! What's with the interface? I read it integrated to some extent with Visual Studio - how come it looks completely different? I appreciate some UI elements need to change for the designer community, but I had to stop and think about what the dark bar in a textbox means - which I still haven't figured out!

As a result, closed it. Will return to it when I get a bit of free time, though. All this sexiness from Microsoft is all very exciting.

Come on guys ! we are .NET developers we have to support .NET which is part of Microsoft, so, we have to support MS itself ! Using FireFox, Gmail, Mc OS wont help Microsoft. I do use Gmail, but I also use Windows Live Mail and it is my primary email, I always do compare between the two and I hope one day I can see Windows Live Mail MUCH better than Gmail. I do believe in MS :D ..

Gmail works great for .NET developers! There is absolutely no good reason to use Windows Live Mail other than it's from Microsoft.

Hey Ayman,

because of those same reasons, I have Firefox 1.5 installed on my machine (gotta test if your site works in ff right ;)). I checked out Windows Live mail and it worked like a charm for me. No problems here. It even seems like it's a bit faster than when I use IE. But that might be because of the time I'm testing it...

Anyway: I'm curious for other users' experiences...

As a rule of thumb:

* All Microsoft sites -> use IE

* All other sites -> use Firefox

You might want to check the CS and/or ASP.NET Ajax forums and provide them with just a tiny bit more info.

Just install messenger plus and you have all events accessible through easy javascript files.
