'Microsoft.Office.Server.Internal.UI.SharedServicesAdminDefaultPage' is not allowed for this page

Yesterday,  I wanted to visit my SSP admin page, but for some reason, i got the following error:

"The base type 'Microsoft.Office.Server.Internal.UI.SharedServicesAdminDefaultPage' is not allowed for this page"

I had, and still have, no clue what caused the problem, but I solved it by adding the following line to the web.config:

 <SafeControl Assembly="Microsoft.Office.Server.UI, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" Namespace="Microsoft.Office.Server.WebControls" TypeName="*" />

Hi Bas,

Your post made me curious, so i googled the error message and appearantly it has to do something with customizing the masterpage for the admin site. More info:

blumenthalit.net/.../Post.aspx

I myself do not have the time to test this at the moment, but maybe you can tell me if this is a possible cause for the error you got?

Thanks,

Arjen

Hi Arjen,

I didnt modify the system masterpage in any way. We are using a custom masterpage for the intranet, but I don't expect that that will be the problem.

It is good that we can get the <a href="lowest-rate-loans.com/.../a> moreover, this opens up new chances.
