Grigori Melnik announced the February 2008 release of the Guidance Automation Toolkit (GAT) and Guidance Automation Extensions (GAX). GAT and GAX can be used to extend Visual Studio and automate development tasks from within the Visual Studio IDE.
It's great to see that after a series of CTP versions, this release is marked as final. Both Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 versions are supported and can be used side-by-side. Existing guidance packages will automatically be registered with the current version of GAX.
