Well at least for the servlet market :)

Number of sites running ASP.NET has overtaken the number of sites running JSP.
According to Netcraft:

Throughout the years the gui's have changed quite a bit.

Today I found a site which has archived many GUI features of different OS'es troughout the years:

It was fun looking back at how nice Be still is and how much windows has improved.

There's a new version of the Gimp out.

Version 2.0 Stable:

For those of you that don't know what the Gimp is, its an open source clone of photoshop with very powerfull scripting in combination with filters

GTK is required for the install, which is also present on the download page.

There are a lot of XML tutorials out there on the web.

But when you don't know anything about XML or when you heard something about XML and you’re not quite sure what it is... then its hard finding a good tutorial.

A while back I came across an XML tutorial which was so clear that I could tell this is clear enough for anyone.
Not only that it's even girl friendly so here it is

The neopoleon guide to life ... err XML

Hope you enjoy it, even if you already know XML its still a good read :)

Somehow that always winds up being the first thing you write while trying something new out...

This blogging thing is new to me so hence ... Hello world, I'm Mischa a 25 year old programmer working at a small internet firm writing web applications.

I hope to bring you some interesting things from around the web and maybe even some original material, which I hope will be interesting.

Usually when the hello world is done, the interesting stuff begins.

Alas, not this time …

But I will leave you with a link, I came across today it’s a website which shows the power of CSS. A simple div based text site which is totally transformed by other CSS files.

Enjoy:
