BT2004 exception when adding a port on XP or 2000

I just installed BT2004 on my terrible slow PC with Windows XP and when I was adding a port in the explorer, i get the following exception:
cast not valid

After searching around on the newsgroups (biztalk newsgroup)
I found the answer to this problem: I had to install the COM+ Rollup package, which can be downloaded here

That worked just fine.

Personally it's my opinion a .NET developer have to got a broad knowledge of Microsoft products. I do not want to become a specialist like Robert, Joris and Patrick. But I want to know enough to know when I should apply Biztalk. But also what the advantages and disadvantages are. And how I globally have to use a tool such as Biztalk, or how the integration works with .NET.
